The Reef 28 Hotel & Spa – Luxury Adults Only – All Suites

Ricardo was hands down the best bar tender the entire trip!!! Ask for a Ricky Special when you go, it’s delicious! Roberto was our amazing cocktail server as well. Friendly and kept the drinks coming! Overall the hotel was fantastic. Very clean and staff was always around for help or just to say hi. Every dinner we ate was spectacular. Definitely didn’t have one complaint. Our room faced the street and yes we heard music until about 11 pm each night but honestly the construction at another hotel was the worst part of the noise for us. And the doors from other rooms would slam as people entered/left their room. Other than that it’s a pretty quiet hotel!

What an incredible experience from start to finish. I planned my friend’s bachelorette party for a group of 7 total. Brenda and Lezlie made the whole experience so memorable! Lezlie helped us with room assignments and was able to assist us with room upgrades and early check-ins. Brenda was fantastic by helping with special decorations for the bride’s room which added such a personal touch. Facilities are clean, rooms are very spacious with wonderful views, prices are extremely reasonable, all-inclusive package is a must, on-site restaurants were absolute hits, drinks were fantastic, staff was so friendly, the spa provided top-notch massages, and the rooftop pool was so much fun. I cannot talk highly about this hotel. Also, it’s one block away from the beach, and one block away from the main strip Avenida Quinta. Perfectly situated. Staff was so helpful from the bellboys to the managers. Everyone made this trip so special and a memory we will have forever. Definitely plan on coming back again! 100/10 stars! And again. I can only speak on the rooftop. My time here was really fun! I went on a Sunday for some funday time with my friends and we had a time! The dj was so good!! We were jamming the entire time! There are two jacuzzis in add to the pool. Just make sure you choose the extra hot one. Our server was a delight and we had no problem at all. Highly recommend!

Fab vacation. Food is lovely; rooftop bar with pool and DJ was idyllic; rooms far exceeded our expectations with size, cleanliness, comfort of the beds, quality; and the staff are all friendly and easy. The location is actually one block off the beach. The photos online show images if the pools and beach for their other hotels, but you have to pay extra to use these. That felt a little misleading as we thought we booked a hotel on the beach with waterfront pools based on the pictures. But it was fine. It's one block off the main shopping drag, tons to do, beautiful spa. Overall, we had a great vacation. Would definitely come back. Uriel is great at the front desk!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The facilities are beautiful and everything feels very relaxing and well maintained. Bernardo provided exceptional service during our visit. He was very friendly, professional, and gave us excellent recommendations for food and drinks. Service like this really makes a difference!

Words can not describe my enjoyment of staying at the Reef! (February 20-24). I was in a place where I needed to NOT make decisions in my life. However, the amount of attentiveness from all staff was such a wonderful experience I had not expected. First, the front desk person, Lezlie, was kind, considerate, and attentive - she remembered my room number and my name, she answered all my questions with patience and accuracy. Second, we have Israel, he too answered all my questions, but most importantly, reassured me that the events happening in Puerto Vallarta were not happening in Playa, and that he was confident in the local security enforcement. Reduced my fears to zero. And finally, there was Eduardo. While all servers at the restaurant and the roof top were excellent, Eduardo was very attentive but not intrusive. He saw when my drink was getting low before I even saw it! But more than that, I watched him walk across a board that appeared to be loose - and rather than just go on about his business, he turned around and reported it so it could be fixed. I noticed this in all staff - from the woman who cleaned the front windows, to the maid service. The employees at the Reef clearly take pride in their work, and in the Reef. The attitude is NOT "not my job" but rather, "my job is to create the best experience for guests of the Reef". I hope the Reef recognizes and applauds their staff - they all work very hard, and all with a smile. Thank you for a perfect stay, I will be back next February!

We discovered the restaurants within The Reef28. What a find! While we did not stay at the hotel…the Cachito Mexican and Asiatico restaurants were fantastic! We went back since the restaurants alternate days open. The chef and team are not only Michelin chef level to us skilled—They are gifted as in “next level”! Extremely grateful for the superb service and the fact that I could eat extraordinarily fresh, delicious meals with accommodation of my strict Gluten Free requirements. Ingredients were prepared with creative finesse. Most importantly the freshness and quality are unsurpassed. We really wanted to try the Italian cuisine but did not have another night in the area. Highly highly highly recommend! Someone once said “a picture takes the place of a thousand words” so here are the pictures for you to enjoy!

I am the MOH for my best friends wedding and we did her Bach trip here. We had the best time ever!!! Perla helped us plan all the events and our time was absolutely amazing, there is not one bad thing to say. Service was great, hotel staff was so friendly, our rooms were perfect and transportation between reef resorts was so easy! Freddie was our waiter for our rooftop day and I have to give him a special shout out as well, we'd order a margarita and it was there before we could blink. Ultimately the stay was fun, relaxing, and comfortable. Perla was amazing to work with and made things sooooo easy for me esp with decorations and setting up the room before we got there!! So thank you thank you thank you
